What a brilliant turn out despite the wintry conditions – well done every body who was tough & daft enough to turn out.

It was amazing to see the Trout rise & the flies hatch as it snowed.

Tommy had three over 2lbs on one cast – Gordon “Thorny” Thorn had a cracker over 2lbs – Graeme O’Brien had a cracker still to get the photo in. Our own Graeme Hamilton our Pond Convenor & Competition had a couple one a right “fatty” – thanks for organising another great day – great laughs & banter from everybody.

It was great to have Total Fishing Lanarkshire along today – thanks for the prizes & i know all the anglers appreciated the mobile tackle shop.

There was a cracking turn out today – don’t have the numbers to hand but there must have been 30.

Today was all about a bit of fun – some social time for our members & guests – it was also about promoting Catch & Release – no fish were killed today & are there to be caught again πŸ˜€

Geo had a tour of the UAAA Hatchery & Ponds by our Chairman Wullie Weir – followed by a visit to our “Open Day” had a few casts at Glengavel followed by a wee walk up the Spoutloch Burn to visit the old shooting bothy.
